What Is The Best Time To Visit The Barcelona Aquarium?
To thoroughly experience the flora and fauna of marine life present at the Barcelona Aquarium, one should consider visiting during the opening hours, especially between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM or later in the day, about 2 hours before closing. It has been noticed that these timings see a slim crowd and a visitor can observe or photograph the fishes and sharks without hindrance. Moreover, you can benefit from the smaller queues.
Getting To The Barcelona Aquarium
The L’Aquàrium de Barcelona can be easily accessed from multiple modes of transport. The nearest landmark is Port Vell, a 2-minute walk from the aquarium.
The buses that stop near Barcelona Aquarium are - V17 and 39, 45, 59, 91, 120, D20, H14, V13, V15. In case you have a pass to the Bus Turistic, take the Red Route and alight at the Port Vell stop. If you’re using the Barcelona City tours, alight on the Port Vell stop on the East Route.
You can either board trains on Metro lines L4 Barceloneta or L3 Drassanes. In case of L4 Barceloneta, get down at Barceloneta Metro station and in case of L3 Drassanes, get down at Drassanes stop. Both these stops are a walking distance away from the Barcelona Aquarium.

When driving towards the Barcelona Aquarium, get onto Ronda Litoral and exit 21 and 22.
You can park your cycle at Biking station at L’Aquàrium and take a short walk to the aquarium.
You can enjoy a boat ride to the Barcelona Aquarium using Las Golondrinas towards the Port Vell from the Forum harbor. This mode is recommended if you are near Parc del Forum. From Port Vell take a short 10 minute walk and you’ll land at the Aquarium door.
All the facilities in the Barcelona Aquarium are designed to be completely accessible to people with disabilities. The aquarium also has well-connected floors with lifts and ramps, adapted toilets, disabled parking spaces, and guided tours for groups with special needs
To enable you to be as comfortable as possible at the L’Aquàrium de Barcelona, the venue offers lockers to tuck in your valuables while you get lost in the underwater world.
Unfortunately, the Barcelona Aquarium does not have parking space available. However, there are more than a few paid car parks around the venue. Notably, parking tends to be more expensive than the public transports.
